Data backup and storage

Hello, all. Gaddy in Denver here. My question is about the online backup service provided by Mozy.com. Their website says that their service costs $4.95/month for unlimited storage. Is this a good alternative to locally backing up data on a hard drive yourself?

I use Mozy to backup my whole home PC setup. I'm super satisfied with it.

I bought an external hard drive and it crashed 6 months later - now I use carbonite - LOVE IT (so easy, and you're covered in case of fire or theft, too).
