External Hard Drive

I bought a Seagate external drive a couple years ago -- it was inexpensive, simple, and it has worked just fine, though it is a bit noisy.

The one I like is the OneTouch 4 Mini 320 GB 2.5" USB 2.0 Portable Hard Drive. I like using it b/c of the portability, and it's small enough to lock in a wall-safe.

Yet, I'm not happy with Maxtor's software capability between different families of the One Touch drive-line. Also, I yet to determine why my 6 year old drive recently died. Might have died as I attempted to stuff it in the wall-safe. Good luck.

Thanks for the reply. Your feedback along with some research on consumer report really helped. I bought a Seagate External HD. I can't wait to get it. The best deal was through Amazon.
